All good things must come to an end…
After four years of creating and teaching ceramics from my tin shed studio in the Yarra Valley, it’s time to close this chapter.
I’ve been a practicing ceramic artist for almost nine years now and for the past four years I have been creating magic from my shed. It has been a safe space to exist, create and process. My partner Rob and I transformed it from an unusable space to something that actually has a really great vibe and I am so proud of that. But my time in this space where so much of my ceramics practice has been shaped is coming to an end. My partner and I are moving to Geelong and saying farewell to Lilydale to begin a new chapter by the coast. This move marks an evolution in both life and practice. It’s not an ending, but an exciting new chapter! I’m looking forward to settling into our new home, establishing a new studio, and connecting with a new creative community.
With a big move comes an even bigger clear-out.
As I prepare to relocate, I’m taking the opportunity to part with eight years’ worth of accumulated pottery studio ‘stuff’. Samples, seconds, experiments, tools, storage, and of course chair sculptures! It is far too much to take with me, and far too good to throw away so, I’ll be opening the “doors” (online) to my home studio for a major clear-out sale. This is your chance to collect a piece of its history before I begin the next chapter.
