Lets get started

  • How long will it take to make?

Each listing has the approximate timeframe listed in the description.

Primary and Heirloom commission take between 6 to 10 weeks of order confirmation.

Complete Custom commission timeframes are determined on a case by case basis.

In the event of a delay you will be notified via email.

I forgot to add a thing! Can I add it?

Changes to Primary and Heirloom commissions can be made within 48hours of placing your order.

Do you do commissions for other pieces?

No, at this stage I only offer commissions for tiny chairs.

I am outside of Australia, can I commission a tiny chair from you?

If you are outside Australia and wish to commission a piece from me, please get in touch here to discuss further.

I want to commission a piece for someone and need it by a specific date. Can you make it in time?

Timeframes for commissions are approximate and can be subject to change outside of Emily’s control. Timeframes are also influenced by Emily’s workload at the time of the commission. If you need the piece by a specific time, allow an extra two weeks on top of the timeframe given as a buffer. Emily always works to the highest standards and has set realistic timeframes based on years of experience working with clay. Due to the nature of the medium there may be additional obstacles that arise. In the event of delays outside of Emily’s control you will be notified as soon as possible.

How much does it cost for a Complete Custom Tiny Chair?

As this option is a complete commission the price is determined by your request. If you have a specific budget to work within Emily will work with you to create something special.

  • By entering a commission agreement with the artist (Emily Brookfield) the client (you) agrees to the terms outlined below.

The client agrees to respect the artist’s process and guidance, and understands that all commissioned works will remain within the artist’s specific style. The work produced by the artist will not infringe on another artists work in any way and encourages the client to stay clear of requesting direct copies of other artists work.

Timeframes are approximate only and are subject to change outside of the artist’s control. In the event of a timeframe extension the client will be notified as soon as possible.

Commissions are currently open Australia wide only.

The artist reserves the copyright and complete ownership of all works made by the artist, past, present and future, commissioned or otherwise.

PRIMARY AND HEIRLOOM TINY CHAIR COMMISSIONS

If you no longer wish to proceed with your order you have 48 hours from the time of confirmation to request a refund. You will receive your refund less the admin processing fee within 7 days of the refund confirmation through the method used when the order was placed.

Any cancellations to commission orders after 48hours will result in a forfeit of the total commission amount and no refund will be given.

Changes can be made to an commission order within 48hours of placing the order and may be subject to additional fees. No changes to an order can be made after that point.

    COMPLETE CUSTOM TINY CHAIR COMMISSIONS

The client must fill in the form provided in the listing to the best of their ability, adding as much detail as possible for the artist to have a clear understanding of what the client is requesting.

All design requests must be made at the beginning of the process before the piece goes into production. Once the production of the commissioned piece is underway, no changes can be made.

All consultation correspondence will occur via email. The artist appreciates prompt replies from the client during this stage of the process as this assists the client in receiving the work in a timely manner. Once the final design has been confirmed, production will begin.

The client will have a realistic expectation around time frame and grace in the event of a delay. The artist always works to the highest standards to ensure the best possible outcome. Due to the nature and process of making with ceramics there may be minor changes to the design to ensure a successful outcome.

Delays outside the control of the artist may occur. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated to the client on a case by case basis.

The general timeframe for a Complete Custom Commission to be produced is between 8 to 10 weeks from the confirmation of the final design. This is an approximate estimate that does not include the initial consultation process or shipping times and may change based on the artist’s workload at the time.

The cost of this commission option is specific to the custom piece being requested and will be determined during the consultation process. The client will be invoiced and a 50% deposit must be paid by the client to the artist within seven (7) days of receiving and agreeing to the final design confirmation.

Once the piece is complete and ready to be shipped, the client will be notified and the remaining deposit including cost of shipping will be invoiced. Payment of the final invoice must be made by the client within seven (7) days of receiving the invoice. Once payment is received the piece will be shipped.

The commissioned piece and/or its likeness cannot be reproduced in any way for any purpose or reason unless by the artist themselves.

The artist reserves the copyright and complete ownership of all works made by the artist, past, present and future, commissioned or otherwise.

The artist reserves the right to the immediate termination of the agreement if the client breeches any of the above terms and conditions. The artist reserves the right to determine whether or not a refund (partial or full) is granted to the client.

In the event that the artist ends the agreement for reasons other than the client being non compliant, a refund will be considered on a case by case basis.

The client can end the agreement during the consultation process. If the client requests to end the agreement after the production of the commission has begun, the client forfeits any payment made up to that point.

The client expressly agrees to abide by the outlined terms and conditions above and understands that the artist reserves the right to refuse to collaborate with the client at any time before, during and after the commission process if the artist deems the client no longer conforms with the above parameters.
