By entering a commission agreement with the artist (Emily Brookfield) the client (you) agrees to the terms outlined below.
The client agrees to respect the artist’s process and guidance, and understands that all commissioned works will remain within the artist’s specific style. The work produced by the artist will not infringe on another artists work in any way and encourages the client to stay clear of requesting direct copies of other artists work.
The client must fill in the form to the best of their ability, adding as much detail as possible for the artist to have the best understanding of what is being requested. All design requests must be made at the beginning of the process before the piece goes into production. Once the production of the commissioned piece is underway, no changes can be made. All consultation correspondence will occur via email. The artist appreciates prompt replies as this assists the client in receiving the work in a timely manner. Once the final design has been confirmed, production will begin.
The client will have a realistic expectation around time frame and grace in the event of a delay. The artist always works to the highest standards to ensure the best possible outcome. Due to the nature and process of making with ceramics there may be minor changes to the design to ensure a successful outcome. There may be a chance of delays outside the control of the artist. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated to the client on a case by case basis. The general timeframe for a custom commission to be completed is between 8 to 10 weeks from the confirmation of the final design. This is an approximate estimate that does not include shipping times and may change based on the artist’s workload at the time.
The cost of commission is specific to the custom piece being requested and will be determined during the consultation process. The client will be invoiced and a 50% deposit must be paid by the client to the artist within seven (7) days of receiving and agreeing to the final design confirmation. Once the piece is complete and ready to be shipped, the client will be notified and the remaining deposit including cost of shipping will be invoiced. Payment of the final invoice must be made by the client within seven (7) days of receiving the invoice. Once payment is received the piece will be shipped.
Commissions are currently open Australia wide only.
The commissioned piece and/or its likeness cannot be reproduced in any way for any purpose or reason unless by the artist themselves.
The artist reserves the copyright and complete ownership of all works made by the artist, past, present and future, commissioned or otherwise.
The artist reserves the right to the immediate termination of the agreement if the client breeches any of the above terms and conditions. The artist reserves the right to determine whether or not a refund (partial or full) is granted to the client.
In the event that the artist ends the agreement for reasons other than the client being non compliant, a refund will be considered on a case by case basis.
The client can end the agreement during the consultation process. If the client requests to end the agreement after the production of the commission has begun, the client forfeits any payment made up to that point.
The client expressly agrees to abide by the outlined terms and conditions above and understands that the artist reserves the right to refuse to collaborate with the client at any time before, during and after the commission process if the artist deems the client no longer conforms with the above parameters.
