The Design Files recently published a story about my ceramic practice, highlighting my current obsession with chairs.

Bit of a pinch me moment, that’s for sure!

I talk about where the idea for these tiny chairs originated from, my exhibition at Boom Gallery last December and why I am utterly hooked on ceramics as a medium.

From her humble (but hardworking) garage studio in Geelong, Victoria, ceramic artist Emily Brookfield creates quirky objects that speak to a memory, place, or moment in time. Having experimented with plenty of different pieces over the years, Emily’s current body of work is focused on crafting miniature ceramic chairs - turning the functional piece into a nostalgic heirloom that can sit on your shelf for years to come.
